McDonough Chopticon Update

The Girls’ varsity basketball between Chopticon and McDonough has been rescheduled for tomorrow. Unfortunately, we will not be able to broadcast tomorrow’s game because WPTX is already scheduled to air tomorrow’s Maryland Men’s basketball game. The next high school basketball broadcast will be Wednesday December 12th when the Patuxent Panthers host the Lackey Chargers the broadcast is scheduled to begin at 6:30PM.

Tonight's Game Is Postponed

Due to the weather tonight’s game between McDonough and Chopticon has been postponed. When we get word of when the game has been rescheduled for, we will be sure to let you know. With that said our next broadcast will now be this Wednesday when the Patuxent Panthers host the Lackey Chargers. The broadcast is scheduled to start at 6:30PM.

Huntingtown St. Charles Preview

I had the opportunity to talk with the head coach of both St. Charles Spartans Brett Campbell and Huntingtown Hurricanes Tobias Jenifer. Both coaches told me that the top things they are looking for in their fist game of season is for their players to play as a team play hard and leave everything out on the court. Both coaches also stressed to me was how important their teams play on the defensive side of the ball will be and how they will be both looking for their respective defensive play to set the tone of the game.

Will this game come down to who wins the battle at the foul or will it be decided by a late turnover? Tune Friday Night to find out how the game will be won and to hear what else the coaches and I talked about as we bring you complete game coverage on 1690 AM, the listen Live feature here on our website and the 1690WPTX app the game is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm.
